I had hellwig helper springs. They sat on top of the stock spring. They were good but noisy. They also helped a little with sway... I ended up selling them for Timbrens.

Ever thought about a set of airbags?
They even help smooth the ride out when empty.

Add a set of Firestone Ride-Rite Air Bags instead. They will help the ride and give you more control depending on the load.

I love that Pullrite. Really well made, solid and tough as nails. Would not own anything else.

I just installed a set of 5000# Airlift bags and compressor system on mine. The ride is better unloaded, and had about 6000# of pumps and parts in the bed on Monday, it rode just fine. Just remember after unloading, to bleed the system back done to 10-15 psi or it'll ride like a buck board. The Airlift system has the auto fill to maintian atleast 5 psi in bags, but you can adjust the valve for more. Total cost was about $350.00 or so.

I like my Timbrens but I pull a trailer allot and because I got the 9000 lb set it rides ruff when unloaded since a ruff ride doesn't bother me thats OK

If you only pull a few times a year then Air Bags mite be a better idea they seem to ride better unloaded with reduced air pressure

The 3rd option is to pull your spring pack and have a spring shop add leafs and re-arc your springs
