B&W Hitch and Rear Fender Liners

I am getting ready to install rear fender liners in my truck. But, I have a B&W turnover ball gooseneck hitch installed. The rod that is pulled to release the ball for turning is blocked by the liner. I would like to know how others have handled this problem. I just can't bring myself to cut a notch in the fender liner. I bet someone here has a neat fix for this ???

Holesaw or drill bit, and tread the handle through it. Or donate the liners to me.

I used a holesaw, 2" IIRC, and drilled a small hole below the big one to hold the handle in the open position. I can pull the handle with two fingers and it wouldn't be hard to cap the hole if I felt the need.

Great idea about the smaller "holding" hole. I like it.

I posted on your duplicate thread.

I made the hole small, so I can barely reach in to pull it. Once pulled out and turned, the handle will be kind of resting on the outside of the liner.

It works pretty good. I drew a nice symetrical oval, then used a drill and a metal blade on a jigsaw. Do knock the corners off where you cut. It's amazing how much skin that plastic can scrape off if you don't.

I ended up making a new longer rod and running it through a 3/8" hole in the liner. You can see the picture in the duplicate thread in the 3rd Gen No Drivetrain Forum if you are interested. Thanks for the ideas guys.
