Anybody own Weekend Warrior TT Toy Hauler?

My current 5th wheel is a small 1/2 ton truck pullable 22' KZ Sportsmen. It's in great shape and even has a year of warranty left. I go ATVing alot (taking 2 quads) and usually just double pull with the 5th wheel trailer and a small utility trailer behind it.

I have an opportunity to buy a 2004 Weekend Warrior FS 2600 travel trailer toy hauler that has only been used a few times. It belongs to a relative and I can get it for what I think is a good price at 12K. If I don't get it, they will sell it anyway. I have pulled it and camped in it several times. It is 30ft long and has room for 3 quads inside plus I can put one in the bed of the truck.

Does anybody else here own one? Any problems or concerns I should look into before I go ahead and get it? Are you happy with your purchase? Any reason I should not get this trailer and look at other options?

If it's like this one, you better get it quick.

Thanks Charlie!! Decision made. Actually the one pictured in the link is identical except the one im buying doesn't have an onboard genset. (it does has the compartment for it) And mine doesn't have the gel coat finish either, but sounds like it is still a good deal any way you slice it.

If the fridge is on the Dometic recall, do you just take it to any RV dealer and have them repair/replace it?

The trailer is clean and it's not on the market. It's mine to buy if I want or they will sell it if I don't want it.

I purchased mine new and it's been great. Three of them in our group and the others have been fine also. Friends with Thor and Carson have had problems. Check the roof as it's time for a reseal, along with wheel bearings and zerks on the springs. That's about it with these.

Thanks Ash. They just took it an RV dealer to be looked over. The roof was just resealed a few days ago and a ignitor was replaced in the heater. Also they replaced the shower faucet which had cracked (plastic).

Here are some pics of it.

I found out the fridge is on the Dometic recall list. I don't think that will bother me to much though or at least not enough to NOT get it. I will just call that 800 number and see where I should take it to get it corrected.

Has anybody else had this Dometic fridge recall done?

Thanks! But I still got to sell mine and get it first.

Yes you can take it to Colorado!! But I will be right there with ya. Get that ole Polaris ATV running and you, me, HotDram and BNold will make a run with it for a week or so!!! Or anybody else in our group with an ATV. The WW can hold 3 + 1 in the truck for a total of 4.

I am. The WW is just sitting in storage waiting on me to sell my current one. There never seems to be enough hours in a day or weekends in a month!

Weekend Warrior Class Action Lawsuit

Just noticed your question about Weekend Warrior. We used to own a 2000 FS2600 WW & my friend owned the same trailer, but a 2001. Apparently, the tongue weight on these trailers is double what they advertised, which is causing the front section of the frame to bend & sometimes crack. There is a Class Action Lawsuit in progress against Weekend Warrior & Zeiman because of this problem. I looked @ the pictures you posted & it looks like it is in the beginning stages of bending. If you want more info., you could contact me or go on the attorneys website (www.lieffcabraser.com/trailerdefects.htm). I am not trying to bag on WW, but I don't want anyone else going through what we did w/this problem. I am actually suprised nobody else has posted this info. because apparently this is not an isolated issue. Good luck!!!

Thanks for that information. These trailers are definately heavy no doubt about that. Way to much weight for a half ton truck to pull. I have pulled this trailer several times loaded down with 4 ATVS, generator, and 120 gallons of water and 28 gallons of gasoline in the fueling station. The weight (empty) is distributed mostly toward the front to allow for the capacity in the rear. I haven't noticed any problem at all with the frame on it. Here is the link again....I coudn't get it to work above. http://www.lieffcabraser.com/trailerdefects.htm

You can PM me if you want. What are you seeing in my pics that is possibly showing a problem?

i've never heard of this in over 20 years of duning. this sounds like a bunch of idiots hung a bunch of weight on a little truck and the truck broke. so they started a class action. using these so called lawers to mediate. i can't say this didn't happen but i can say i'm almost positive this would have spread like wildfire throughout the duning community. i will contact warrior tomorrow if they are open and report any new information i can obtain. again this sounds like a load of "crap". (i hope that's acceptable)
