Any gooseneck trailer plans????

I'm looking for some gooseneck trailer plans. I want to build a 16-20' trailer to haul equipment around 12,000 lbs. I'm trying to research and gather different perspectives before I start.

I have a 16' lowboy, I thought about converting it into a gooseneck and add a 2-3' dovetail w/ ramps. Still debating.

I would really appreciate any plans, dimensions, advice, or resources. If you can e-mail me anything send it to opportunityenterprise@yahoo.com

Thanks,

Tommy93w350-

If I were you, I would just look into buying a Kraftsman or Kauffman GN trailer. You can find dealers for them in the Thomasville/Lexington/Asheboro area. You could atleast check them out and get ideas on how to build one or modify your existing trailer.

It was a neat experience building my own gooseneck. Definately a lot of work. I just took lots of notes on trailers I came across. Didn't find any plans that I could work off. It cost me around $1100 in material which included a set of used 6000lb brake axles. 20' deckover gooseneck.

Wow!! I like that, goooood job. That's what I want to do. Trying to modify a tag along could be a little more challenging. Maybe I will get the same results you have.

I'll take before and after pictures and keep them posted

I'm working on mine now. Last year I bought a gn a guy built by putting two 16' tags together and adding a gn hitch. Needless to say he really made a mess out of it. I got it real cheap and worked it over a lot and made a good trailer out of it. Now I bought some alunimum and am enclosing it. It will be 8' wide and 40' long when complete.
