? about factory brake controller harness
I was going to install a Brake controller today using the factory plug under the dash. Anyway on the plug it says 15 amp max on my other trucks I always used a 30 amp breaker to the controller, for trailers with 4 brakes(2 axles), is the factory harness only good for 2 brakes(1 axle)? If so is anybody using it for trailers with 4 or more brakes without problems? Or are you not using the factory plug at all?

No problems with the factory harness with two different dual axel 4 brake trailers. But I used a larger ground wire than the factory harness (the instructions with my controler said to use the same size ground as power so I did).

Two axles (four magnets) will draw no more than 12 amps anyway. You are fine. However, Dodge should use heavier gauge wiring for their electric brake circuits in my opinion.
