Now here is my question to you! Have you ever been weighed???? If so did the cop ask you to open the door so he could look at that sticker? If you knew anything about Scales, when you cross the scales and they think you are overweight, they call you in, then you have to produce the papers saying what your truck is Licenced for. Now I am licenced for 20,000 pounds,, if I crossed at 20,500 then YES I am overweight and could be fined!!
And again yes the gvw on my truck is 8,800,, and the front gawr is 4,400 pounds and the back axle gawr is 6084 pounds,, those 2 numbers come off that lil sticker on the door,so those 2 dont add to 8,800 so like i said go and argue with your friends, as I know and understand the scales alot more than a private person hauling a lil toy trailer.

I can tell you cant read,, I have posted a few times now that I have been CHECKED lots and NEVER was overweight, I have crossed scales many times and I was approx 4,400 on front axle and 5,800 - 6,200 on the back axle of the truck, and anywhere from 6,000 - 8,000 on the trailer wheels and NOT ONCE was i called in for being OVERWEIGHT,,,,Now unless you are a DOT cop or Scale cop, you dont understand the scales,, THEY ALL go by tire width for weight loads and not the stupid lil sticker on the door.and most are 600 poounds per inch tire width PERIOD. The scale cops have better things that to get out of there station and look for the sticker.

Just as you stated:

One of these days you may find a DOT that does look!
