7 pin plug wiring
I'm putting a gooseneck ball and brake controller in my truck soon. I was wanting to know on an 07 5.9 how to wire in a 7 pin plug in the bed for a trailer. Do they make an adapter to go from the 7 pin plug on the bumper to the smaller round 7 pin plug. Or can you tap into the wires for the bumper plug to go to the plug in the bed? And lastly do you have to wire anything from a brake controller to the plug in. any help/feedback is appreciated. thanks

Is this what you are looking for?

You won't need to do any wiring to the plug for the trailer brakes, it's already there. You will have to plug in the one under the dash. You know, the one that's in your glove box in the plastic baggy.

I disagree, what you want is a "T" connector.

You remove the plug from the original connector under the bumper and plug the "T" between them and run the other end up to the box through the fender well.
