think twice about getting the auto slider aka pullrite superglide... the upfront increase cost is worth it in my opinion if you're getting a short bed truck. i speak from experience. i kissed my truck with the trailer and fortunately just had to pay $500 deductible. is was late at night i was tired yada yada yada... anyway seriously thik about it... also check out the sidewinder pinbox by fifthairborne you won't need a slider you can get it airride and you can hook and unhook at a 90 degree angle if needed. i didn't do research before buying our hitch and would probably bought the superglide knowing what i know now.

a coworker of mine had a reese 16k hitch he dropped his trailer on his bed before a weekend of camping. the jaws weren't locking properly. we haven't had any problems with ours. ALWAYS VISUALLY look at the pin and jaws to verify proper attachment...
