5th wheel & 4x4 3500 drw

I have a jaco quest 265b 5th wheel. I'm considering a 3500 drw 4x4. After reading some of the threads about the 4x4's being so high at the bedrails, I'm wondering if this will be possible to match up. I have a 3" adjustment in my shackles. Don't really want to flip axle's if I don't have to. I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has this same setup. WE do some boondocking, so the 4x4 would really be nice. Any suggestions or comments are welcomed. I have 53" from ground to bottom of 5er in front now.
Thanks
Wayne
You should probably be alright. Just to be safe there is a TSB on this and you should be able to find that info at:

www.dodgeram.org

Found it but it only seems to apply to 94 thru 2001 trucks. Will it work on a 2003 or is there a newer TSB?

rkelso

Re:5th wheel & 4x4 3500 drw

I have 99 3500 4 x 4 pulling 1989 35 foot Jayco Designer
Series. Yes I flipped the axles on the trailer to match
the height of the truck. Adding new sleepers (spring stops)
on the opposite side of the axle. Meaning the top side
and welding them in place allows axle to be flipped. It
raised the trailer 8". This would be your best bet.
Not sure what you are considering, but lowering truck
doesn't seem to be the option. Wayne Hope this helps
