11K GVW with a SRW?

I have the truck in my sig. With all my gear on it, it scales right @ 11K. 4700 lbs on the front, & 6300 lbs. on the rear. It has been run this way for many trips over mountains, etc with no problems. Am I actualy overloading it? My registration is good to 12K, & my tires have several hundred lbs before they're max'd out. What do you think?

Your truck came from Dodge with a 9000lb GVWR on it. IF something were to happen and you were over that amount of weight, Dodge would not back you up.

That said, if your tires are not overweight I don't see a big problem with it. The axles, springs, frame etc. on your truck is the same as a SRW 3500 or a Dually 3500....minus the overload springs. The GVWR on a SRW 3500 is 9900lbs and a dually is 12,200lbs (due to the 4 rear tires).

The key here is the tires. You are not hurting the engine, frame, springs or axles with that load. If you are comfortable with the tire ratings vs. your weight.........I would run it and never look back.
