I agree with you, I think that if you were able to search a little better there would be less questions that are always repeated...
something with the sites server I believe....

Due to the large number of members joining and searching, the server gets bogged down too much. This site is maintained by dedicated folks that are attempting to keep up with the large number of people adding to the roles every day, but the hardware is starting to get taxed to the limit sometimes. Turning off the SEARCH button saves system resources for everyone browsing the threads, without kicking too many people off or crashing the server. If you like what you see here, donations can be made to the server fund through the ONLINE STORE. As we do not pay membership fees, this and the advertisers are the only sources of income available to improve the server and upgrade the equipment and software.
(MODS--How did this explanation do?)

The search is not ALWAYS off, but only off when the server is on high load. Once the load goes down, search is automatically turned back on. Until I fix some of the queries, and buy a new machine, it'll have to stay that way for now

It's not a big deal, just something that could be improved upon, one of the only things...Like I said, a lot of the redundant questions may be answered with a simple search....

Guys
The best way to solve this problem is for everyone to think about how much this site has helped them in the past and more then likely help them in the future, so do the right thing and make a Christmas gift of a donation to this site.
I donated 2 times, Have you?
