What about a jokes section???

What about haveing a section for jokes? Seem's I have offended Rattlinram, to whom I aupoligize to. But what is ok and what is not ok? I had went through and edited all the language. A section dedicated to jokes only could be run with a "password only enter", Just a thought. Everyone is differant in there own way and that does not make any person out to be a bad one.

Aupoligize to Rattlinram. No harm tended. 8)

Some members are women, some folks allow their kids to read along with them and we even had a case of a teacher who allowed his students to access our site.
I try to think that whatever I type on these forums can be said out loud in public or even in front of my grandkids and their classmates while eating lunch with them at school. What you or I may think is proper for a public forum may be two different opinions. However, it has been the majority of the members that like this site because of the way we try to keep topics from getting too off color. All we ask is that folks think about the content before they hit the Post button.
The other thing that does bug me, (and I'm not singling you out,,, there are way too many cases of this happening) is when folks realize that certain words are not allowed because the automatic word censor is set to alter them or read [censored] and then deliberately miss spell or substitute look alike characters in order for the word to still look like the offending word.
The bottom line is having a forum where we can all have fun and exchange helpful info on diesel trucks with the OTHER forum being left for just about anything as long as it is presented using a little good judgement.
If ya got a good joke to share and you're not sure if you should post it,,,,, send it in a PM to the friends you know it won't offend. I don't think we have room for a passworded joke forum in the future, but we'll keep ya posted.
Like I said,,,,,, I like a good joke too!

Re:What about a jokes section???

i agree with rattlinram, i have been guilty of using the icons in the spelling of a word...nothing vulgar just wasnt sure if it should be said.......anyway my point is many times my daugter and i sit here 2geather and check out the site and the fact i dont have to worry about a 10 year old little girl reading things that are vulgar is a nice relief on the world wide web. lets keep it fun 4 all ... ( just mt 2 cents ) later, scott

Echo what Rattlinram said. There are plenty of sites out there with whatever you want to see on them. I prefer to help keep this one clean and informative. An ocassional friendly gouge is OK as long as neither is offended and it is clean.

Like Dennis' little blue truck.

Well I'd personally like the protest the censor's singling out of one of my products for abuse.

The Wildcat ***** Cat Paw Shift **** isn't offensive in least, but still the censor demands that it be picked on.

Its hurting the feelings of the ****.

I agree with Dennis, too. One of the reasons I visit this site nearly every day is because I don't have to worry about offensive content. Plus, the people here are great, we seem to have a lot of the same beliefs and attitudes. And where else can you hassle a guy like Hoss!

One thing I don't understand, though. You can spell out F-O-R-D and the software doesn't {censor} it. ;D

DeWain
