Suggestion to Help All

Here is my problem. I posted a question in the High Performance -After Market section. Because this section has such a large volume of posts, in just a few hours it was located on the second page of this section, to be shortly forgotton. Since "After Maket" is so model generation specific this category needs to be split up tomake it easier for the readers to find and reply to posts. Also, it would allow what we have posted to be seen and thus get answers to our questions.

To get my question back to where it is again visible, It is necessary to post a second time, then a third time, etc.

Thanks for listening.

Re:Suggestion to Help All

Thanks, Gary - KJ6Q. By making a meaningless post myself to move my question up to where it could be seen I now have 5 replies which can head me in the right direction. It is unfortunate that I must further add to the meaningless clutter and take up space unnecessarily on this site.

Maybe it would for all members to periodically go back and remove posts , clean their own house so to speak.

Sometimes (usually!) a post is primarily important only to the guy that makes it, and possibly a very few others. In the case of serious posts, it gets pretty frustrating to see yours get drowned out or buried by a rather senseless (to you) stream of one-liners by a group of fellows ragging on each other in the PUBLIC area, when they might be better advised to take their BS over to the chat area... That would allow them to engage endlessly in their activity, but not interfere with some of the more significant posts - just a thought...

It;s actually about common sense, and consideration/courtesy to other site members using the board... ;D ;D

Tell us how you REALLY feel.... :

Sierra....I think your suggestion has been discussed before. In fact...there's a similar thread going on somewhere down there about it now...with the 3rd Generation guys not wanting there "Performance/Aftermarket" posts thrown into the Performance/Aftermarket forum with the rest of the rip rap. Whether or not your suggestion will happen is all up to our fearless leaders. [undecided]

Re:Suggestion to Help All

Hoss,
I don't think that is what Phil and Gary are talking about. I think that they are saying if you post any new thread in any of the forums, it doesn't take long to end up on the 2nd page if nobody replies to it quick enough. Each page only holds 15 topics and if there are 15 replies on threads other than that one, it goes to the 2nd page. Normally this doesn't happen too often I don't think. But all it takes is someone to reply to 15 of them and it's "Second Page News" which is not a bad thing as long as they're legitimate and not goofy stuff.
There is no real fix for this other than as Gary has mentioned, "It's actually about common sense, and consideration/courtesy to other site members using the board..."
I've seen other sites where it is normal for someone to put TTT in a post to bring it back To The Top. We are always looking for new suggestions and it never hurts to bring them up. THANKS! We are always trying to improve and are considering some possible rearranging. ;D (Now,,,,,, go back to your room Hoss)

Re:Suggestion to Help All

He was asking for the Aftermarket/Performance section to be split up into different categories as I understood it...
