Researching to buy new truck
Hi everyone,
I'm researching to buy a new truck and am looking for some reviews with the good and bad from real current owners. Is there a particular area on this forum I should be reading to help me? At this stage I'm just looking to get a real good overview about whats on the market and was looking for some previous heated discussions to read through.
Thanks.

Just don't get scared off because those of us who are happy, aren't posting problems as we don't have any.....or they've been very minor.
Start a thread if you'd like, stating what you're looking for and what you plan to use it for.

Welcome to DTR
A lot of times forums will only have what is wrong with a particular vehicle. It's pretty rare when someone starts a thread "I bought a Dodge & it runs great." They come here due to problems, and trying to improve their trucks.
The long & short of a CTD (Cummins Turbo Diesel) is it is a proven, reliable, easy to work on & bomb (modify) diesel engine. Buy a CTD and they throw a Dodge in to get it around.

Put 15,000 on mine(or so) in the last 4 months and the only problems so far, can't keep people from driving into my RED truck!!! Have some minor things I'll let warranty take care of, intermittent wiper delay only has two delays, most stuff that is related to Dodge, not Cummins but all minor...

i just bought my 06' 2500 in june and got rid of my 2001 f-250 7.3L the year before.. i must say that i realy had no major problems with my ford and actualy regreted getting rid of it a year or so ago. i tryed just having a car, but couldent do it. so i went out to get a new truck and the cummins was the best choice i think i could of made. the engine is smooth, powerful, quiet and isnt too bad on fuel. it is a solid front axle unlike the chevy and that alone kept me from even considering the chevy. i was looking at the fords until the week before i pulled the trigger and actualy got a new truck, my realy good friend blew a head gasket in his 05 f-250 with the 6.0.... i have many 5.9 cummins out here at work and have never had a major issue with a single one, and some have alot of hours on them.. all of the trucks are comfortable inside, and all are good looking but look at the price they are going for right now!! the ford was 44k with a $2500 rebate. i dont know what the chevy was cuz i diddent even bother with the IFS front end.. but the dodge crewcab 4x4 CTD with a bunch of options was listed at 43k and i got it for 33K with a 1k rebate.. now im sure that i could of got some money off of that ford price but with the deals they are giving how can you possibly go wrong.. a bullet proof engine + good looks + lots of creature comforts + a killer price = 06 CTD!!!!
