Idea for Raising Money

This post is mostly directed at Jack and Lary, but I didn't want to go to the trouble of trying to PM both of you.

You guys may have thought of this already, but I know the site is always needing money so I thought I'd show you what another site that I frequent is doing to raise money. This is the second time they've done it and from what I understand it was VERY successful the first time.

http://contest.glocktalk.com

A similar contest here would of course have prizes related to our trucks. It wouldn't surprise me at all if some of our vendors would be willing to donate prizes in exchange for banners and what not.

Just a thought.

I'm in, but only if the concrete bedliner vendor will pony up one of their products (would prefer a color matching liner).

Let's see, a concrete bedliner shipped next day air to MA from Hoss's, I mean TX. I better start saving now.

Or you could just raffle off a gun and some ammo...

It's not exactly a gun-free area around here.

Or an exhaust brake!

Raffle an E-Brake! I'd put tickets in! (A lot of tickets, actually.)

I'd probably put 50-100 dollars in on a raffle for an exhaust brake. (I'd consider paying membership dues provided I had a chance to win something...)

Man, I took a long time to think that up... E-Brakes don't differ from year to year, do they?

Or oil! Raffle oil! That stuff gets expensive...

Or gauges, but most folks already got those.

I don't see why someone couldn't raffle GIFT tickets for their site. That way people could purchase anything on that site for whatever Gen they happen to own.

I think gift certificates from the sponsoring vendors would be great. Maybe a different vendor each month, that way if you already had what one vendor offered you wouldn’t buy a ticket that month, but maybe 2 the next month. Plus all the vendors would benefit.

How about it Admin think it could happen?
