Is DTR reading YOUR mail?
As in, PMs??
It's an interesting question. To me, it begs the question of: is there a legitimate expectation of privacy to begin with?
If someone reads your postal mail, they go to jail.
But on here, you are a GUEST of a website that you DO NOT OWN. Thus, the owners as private citizens have the right to lay down whatever rules they see fit.
Could someone please post the user agreement? If the PM thing is in there, then I don't see how anyone could complain, as it's in the user agreement.
But if it's not???
I'll admit I didn't read it too closely, so I'm not sure what I agreed to

Nobody here has the time or inclination to read through everybody's private messages, however if there are complaints regarding an individual or their use of the PM service, we can and will take a look.
As with everything else in life, there is a very small percentage of trouble makers who cause problems for the rest of us. We do not tolerate those individuals here and they are quickly weeded out. They don't like that so they take every opportunity to bad mouth us for it, that doesn't bother us because as you can see, they are doing it somewhere else
We try to enforce the rules as fairly as we can and are not above making some mistakes ourselves, that's human nature. The people who get banned are the ones who just won't stop doing what ever it is they have been asked to stop doing.
The rules here are actually very simple in nature, behave or be gone... We don't expect anyone to be perfect, but we do expect them to adhere to the rules, especially when they have been warned a multitude of times.

Well, I personally don't have any expectation of privacy on here. At least, not that much.
I don't lend much credibility to one or two people who have issues with something or someone. I tend to wait until they do something to ME before I get all huffy.
I know this sets me up to look like a fool (let's pretend THAT hasn't already happened ), but at least I can give someone the benefit of the doubt.
I'd hate to think that I hosed myself out of a good product or friendship by prejudging someone.
