dont combine 1st 2nd and 3rd mods
people , i for one ask questions and look for mods, and peformance related topics on the 3rd gen.engine/drivetrain forum....when i post a question asking a question about these topics i dont want it moved to the mods/acc/parts colm....it get lost with 1st and senond gen. topics....ether leave it in the 3rd gen. forum or separate the 1st,2nd and 3rd mods/parts/acc.forums....thanks,raymond

Re:dont combine 1st 2nd and 3rd mods
The 3rd gen drive-train and non drive train related forums are just that, suited for questions concerning the STOCK parts and problems relating to them.
ALL aftermarket and performance product questions belong in the appropriate forum titled Hi Performance/Aftermarket accessories.
To break up the forums even further, requires more server space (which we are lacking) and much more work for the staff here at DTR. It also leads to a site with more areas that can cause even more confusion to the majority of the members at DTR.
The Hi Performance/ Aftermarket Accessory forum will not be segregated into separate groups, and moderators will continue to move posts to the appropriate forums when they see them.

Re:dont combine 1st 2nd and 3rd mods
Hey Raymond, I was going to let you know that Shovelhead put a sticky note in one of the 3rd Gen forums about moving those kinds of threads to the aftermarket section. He went on to recommend that users add "2003" or something to that effect to the subject line to make it easier to pick out amongst all the other posts. He put that sticky up there on July 3rd of 2003.
There's only one reply to it dated 25 July 2003, and you were that single reply - you thought it was great idea. Having a change of heart?

To make it easier to find, place the year of your truck in the title when you post.
Then you only have to read those questions or threads for your interests.
When you go to the parts accessory shop what's one of the first questions the counterman wants to know?
What year is your truck?
