Can't edit old post?

I'd like to update the HP thread in competition, but it's not showing an edit button... can someone reset it so I can update it? Thanks!

Nope. Regular members can't edit their own posts after a certain amount of time (I forget how long). Basically you have enough time to fix a spelling error.

PM me a link to the post and the text as you would like it to read and I'll take care of it for you.

Umm.. it was the on-going High HP list thread. The link is my post. I was hoping to keep it updated. I guess it's served its purpose. How about one last update then locking the thread??

No reason to lock the thread. There is nothing in the thread where anyone has broken the rules of the site. Why lock it? You can post in the thread all day long if you want. It doesn't matter to us.

I had been updating the very first post in the thread with high horsepower posts from other forum users. I don't want people posting to the thread thinking I can update or add their listing. Since I cannot edit the post any longer, I am requesting it be locked.

Guess this limitation will apply to the 1/4 mile times thread also.
It is not finished; needs to be an ongoing update!
Why not start a new thread with each update! Copy & paste the old....than update it!

Why not just make an updated post at the bottom of the list like they did in the 1/4 mile time thread! Then anyone who posts will see the most recent additions!!
