I haven't been around much in the last 6 months or so, due to school and work and such, so I'd guess that many of you here have no idea who I am (I think there were just slightly over 1000 members when I was last around regularly).<br><br>I just wanted to say that I'm amazed at how far this site's come along! *holds two fingers 1/16th&quot; apart* I came THIS close to getting a 12 valve 1st Gen instead of the 300D, but I decided that at this point, I really need the better fuel mileage that the Benz gives (27 to 30mpg means 450 miles per $30 tank; hard to argue with, especially 'cause I actually paid less for the car than I got for the E-series). Also, the California State DMV ***** charge an obscene amount to register pickup trucks; I already have to pay $200 every Halloween for the F-250 (as I've mentioned before, I'm unwilling to give up that truck for sentimental reasons), so I gotta wait 'till I can afford to run 3 vehicles...unless the Benz dies and I need another commuter car, my next vehicle will be a 1st Gen

Those were the days, eh? <br><br>Actually, the site didn't look bad back then, either...it's certainly improved, but it went from good to better, not from bad to good 8)
