Ok, i am trying to remove my reverse light switch located on the trany, I tried all my sockets and cant find the right one, the swich is way up top where i cannot see. Pretty sure it requires a deep socket, what size?

If you can get a sliding calliper or adjustable wrench up there... you could use that to measure it.

I checked my manual... no info on size.

If you have a dealer nearby that has one in stock, and they are nice, and you are nice to them, they may measure it for you.

I happen to have a nv4500 sitting in my garage right now getting ready to go in my truck, lol.

It should be a 7/8" deep socket

How much is it? I might be splurging to get a new clutch, not sure yet. I kinda just want to get it installed as is, than save up for alittle for some upgrades like a nice clutch, 5th gear fix etc... I figure this whole swap should cost about $2500 when it's said and done.

Do u have a link where I could check that out or would it just be through dodge?

$57? You should have gone through quad4x4, they have a new stock switch for $10. scroll near the bottom of this page...

Box, what year tranny is that? I dont recall the top of my tranny looking like that. Mine has a square mounting area and the shifter is held in by 4 bolts, not that twist lock that you have

I'm gonna bump this since I'm trying to figure out how to get reverse lights working on my crew.

Does anyone have pics of the wiring that goes from the factory reverse light switch on the NV4500. And is there an adapter or do I need to wire it up myself?

I have no wiring come off the top of my NV4500, and until just a few minutes ago I didn't know where the switch was located...
