I have seen some dual 10 boxes and such but I finally found a single 10 box. I use the other side under my seat for my tow strap, jumper cables, tools and goodies. So I purchased this box and I am going to the audio shop tomorrow and see what sub fits. I bought an amp off craigslist for under $40 that will push just under 300rms at 4 ohms. So I will give you the update and take some pics when I get the sub. It will need a grill just in case someone kicks it but overall I'm pretty pleased with the way it fits.

I have a set of Diamond audio D1's putting 350 watts rms a piece to them. I really like them and they fit in my dual 10 box.

 

How well does the box fit? All of the other ones that fit under the seat hold the seat up on on angle. Is that the same? Any pictures of it installed?

will anything bigger than 10 inch fit under the back seat? i have 2 12 inch kenwoods m that i would like to put in but dont know if they would fit and dont want to take the box that they are in apart to find they dont fit

I wish they had a single 12" under seat box...i have a sealed box on my back seat but would love to regain some of that space for when my friends hop in the truck or hauling stuff back there

 

I run two 10s under my front seats... Leaves the back seat all for storage....

 

Where do you have your amp mounted?

 

It is mounted on the 'hump' underneath the back seat... a 1200watt class D sony unit... Stuff from my old vehicle when I was into the bump... Now just use it for a little extra...

 

My boxes for the 10's were a bit awkward to make, but not too bad.. Managed to get exactly 1cuft of airspace for my 10s....

I've built custom fiberglass boxes, carpeted boxes you name it in the past.... These I threw together out of some HDF and slapped a coat of paint on... Cant see them so who cares...

 

Maybe cut there 2 12" box in half and sell it to someone?

 

i run 2 10" subs under that back seats with 1.0 cubic feet of air space per sub. it's an entirely closed box that takes up all the space under the back seat, except for about 6-8 inches of space behind it. my friends and i custom made the box and even custom made some 2" lift blocks for the back seat. it sits at the same angle as before, and you can still lock down the seat to keep it from moving. the only problem is we need to reweld some brackets to the back of the seat so the back will stop from falling forward since it's not latching in the back. other than that, the box looks great, works great, and hits pretty hard!

 

I run two 10" JL w-0 subs with a MTX 1000 watt amp. I have two seperate truck 10" truck boxes behind my seat and can still lean back all the way with no problems. My truck is only a standard cab though.

 

A single ten is plenty in these trucks.

Heck, a high-excursion 8 is plenty (W7).

I prefer faster/lighter subs. Heavy-cone subs are slow and lazy.
