Tried towing again today.
I may just have the wrong turbo setup, I am getting that taken care of, by replacing the 14 ex with a 12. I pulled 24k(gross) today on level 0,1 and 2. 2 seems to work best, but towing my FL80 today I had to just milk the hell out of it to keep it at 1100, I pulled up throttle position on the Juice display and I could not use over 30% throttle and stay below 1200, in level 0-2, around 60-65 in 6th. In 5th, I was pulling 60mph at 1100-1200 on hills.

Westexhunt,
I pm'd you earlier.
i hope the 12cm housing works out? Let me know, I'll be trying the new 13 housing as soon as it comes out from HTT, and I'll write about it.
I was towing 8500 yesterday and the highest I could hit was 1350* unless I lugged it. With the 14cm I had to keep it at 2500 or above to tow, and it was at 1000 or higher even then.

As far as the tappets go if I'm getting this right, if you aren't going to replace them than all you have to do is drive the dowel rods into them to hold them up while you swap the actual cam. But if you are going to replace them than you use PVC or copper tubing cut in-half to act as a tray to catch them? I am going to do it myself with the help of some friends and my Dad but want to get the best understanding of it on my own as possible.

The PVC tray is used to slide them in and out on.

It took out pretty much everything between the 3rd gear drum and the overdrive.
