Which XZT+ Tune?
#2
Is there a 3000 tune for the xzt+?....I haven't seen it. I can say that while towing heavy (16-20K lbs.) the comp tune is actually smoother in my truck than the 1000 or 2000 tune.
I don't use it in the winter because there is no high idle (running the 1000 tune 'til warms up in ND) but the comp tune is by far the best one available.

There is a 3000 tune that has high idle and 140 degree engine protection. I believe I'm running it right now, but once the weather warms up I think I may switch back to the COMP Tune. I think they (3000 and COMP) may fuel in different areas of RPM, throttle position, etc...but I could be wrong. When I switch back over to the COMP tune I'm going to see if one is better than the other.

I have this tune but have not tried it.
This was part of the email that came from somebody that has the 3000 tune:
This file extracts the most power we can get out of the VP at this point. I do not believe the peak power will be greater than the previous files but, the low end torque should be increased as well as the mid-range performance. In order to keep the drivability we have this particular tune set very mild on throttle position and load. For this particular tune you will need to be at WOT in order to get the full performance out of it. Once we have some people giving feedback it is easy to to increase throttle response and all the power to hit sooner in the throttle position. For now, if you want the power, go to the floor! You should see an increase in smoke off the bottom and mid-range but, the tune should be very smooth.

Same here, it has all the other tune options so I haven't even considered changing. Fuels great from about 1600-2000rpms. Not sure how Quad could improve this program but I'd be willing to try one.

I've been running the 3000 tune for over 6 months now. i started out with the stock tune then moved to the 2000. Never ran the Comp tune though. I do like the 3000 and plan on running it for a longtime. Gives the truck plenty of power.
