xzt, p0237, no oil pressure guage
I recently installed an XZT+ - How tough can this be? After installing the xzt harness I started the truck without the box plugged in. Immediate CEL and p0237 code. Plugged in box and still have code. Removed box and harness and still have code. Installed a new MAP sensor and guess what - I still have the code.
When the box is installed I also have a check guages light and no oil pressure reading on my guage. When I remove the harness/box I have correct oil pressure.
So..Consistant p0237 and oil pressure guage w/o xzt, no oil pressure guage w/ xzt.
I'll start pinning out voltages tonight and see where I get.
Any thoughts?

Finally got the p0237 to clear w/o the xzt installed - could this be a ray of hope? Re-installed the xzt, switch set to off - p0237, no oi pressure gauges. Played a hunch and turned the box to timing. Took a few (10) seconds and the gauges started working, then was eventually able to clear the p0237. Stop and start truck no problems as long as the switch is in timing or timing/fuel. Turn the switch back to off - Cel and no oil pressure gauges. So.....Out comes the xzt. I'll call quad on Monday.
Thanks to all that participated on my numerous posts about this. Yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I read your first post and if you hooked up the harness without the box plugged it it would be the same as if you unplugged the Map sensor and started the truck. and it will show a code, you will need a scanner to clear the codes, they dont go away just with hooking things back up and re-starting the truck. but your last post confuses me, only suggestion I have is that the box in the off posn must trick the truck into thinking that the map is unplugged. as for the gauges I'm outta ideas

Right, I do have a scanner, even with it was hard to clear the codes. Got it done but difficult. Dont get the gauge thing either. I'll call quad and report back if theres still interest.

Just a dumb question but did you change the box program to match your truck? As you use the button to move through the functions one comes up 1bXX - you need to change this to match the year of your truck from the chart in the instructions. Just a thought.

Sorry I was thinking of the RECON guage that needs to be programed for the engine. The XZT+ box does not need any other programing to start using it. Give Jeromy a call on Monday - he is a great resource.
