Awesome!!!! I'm really glad I ordered one now. Glad to hear that. I was afraid that I was going to outgrow it as soon as I started to do more mods. Sounds like that will give a guy some room to grow with different combos. Can't wait!!

I am very interested in this product. It sounds very much like a Smarty with much wider variety of software choices. The only difference is that you can turn it on and off in real time, and can't activate more than one software per trip as you would have to re-flash the unit to get another software in. But this approach looks a lot more flexible to me that the Smarty. Of course, the secret maps used in the Smarty may be really different. I would love to read responses from people who have tried both. I am not big on mods but curiosity is about to take over for me!

When I was beta testing this thing, I had (still do actually) all the tunes already downloaded on my laptop. That way as long as my laptop was with me, I could change the tunes at my pleasure. It only takes a few minutes to pull the XZT+ from under the dash, reflash and re-install. Piece of cake!!!!

I have all the tunes loaded on my laptop as well and was wondering if you even had to unplug the module to download new programs. I have it mounted on the bottom of the brake controller and it would be simple to plug in the USB cord and hit "update module". Of course I would have the truck turned off when I did it, just didn't want to have to keep unplugging/plugging up module because I'm afraid I will break something.
Well, with laptops in the cab now, please confess that you are also running real time OBDII software on them to watch the truck! I know I am thinking about it. In fact I am thinking of taking my old laptop apart and mounting its monitor in a ram mount so it can be used as a nav system, software flasher, ODBII monitor etc.
Oops, sorry, I am hijacking the thread

No, I'm not. But does someone make the real time OBDII software? I'd just might be intrested if so. I thought about useing mine for nav and other purposes, but mine is too large. Besides I have an Alpine slideout monitor/screen. I just need the nav unit itself to plug into the monitor. But real time OBDII, huh?

I am definitely going to put one on my laptop when I move it into the truck. I am thinking about AutoTap: http://www.autotap.com/product_famil...&TrailType=Top
