Works great with the factory tune. Works even better with the aggressive tune.

Try the stock aggressive tune. If you experience any surging, try the HRVP tune. I am running the HRVP tune with the mods in my sig and it works great!

The feature code is mainly a simple way for you to see that the download worked and that you got the new file loaded into the module.

There are some other things we will do with it later but, for now that is the "feature codes" primary purpose.

qzilla, what download would you recommend, my dad doesnt want anything to radical but he is still new to the diesel thing. he does like the way it performs with the factory programing, and i was wondering about the stock aggressive file and the so called surging problem

Well, just know that the aggressive programming is vey aggressive. The throttle is pretty touchy and is smokes quite a bit more.

I have had a lot of guys really like the HRVP44 tuning we did. You might try that?

Also remember, try anything you want to try. You can go right back to the factory tuning in about 15 seconds!!!!

With the Stock Aggressive tune, you may not have any of the surging issues since your truck basicly stock. Most of the guys who the surging issues have eith larger injectors or are the 2002 trucks. But if for some reason you do have some surging issues, you'll really like the HRVP-44 tune.

I love mine, improved mpg and is smooth power. I have an 02 w/ medium injectors and a Hot VP44. Hot pump tune is great but I dont think you will see much diff in that stock of a truck. I have had every edge box made for the truck and a few other brands and the only thing comparable is the juice w/ attitude. But the seat of the pants feel isn't much different. The price is though! $350 or $850 (hot code included)

I Do Have One More Question, If I Understand Correctly The Only Thing The Downloads Effect Is The Performance Level Not The Economy Level

That is correct. The different tunes are on the performance setting only. The timing only setting is the same on all tunes.

That is true for now. We have a lot of downloads to get up and we are getting to them.

There will be downloads that do fueling in the middle position and there will be downloads that do not do any timing at all.
