WOW what a difference
I just put a new platein my truck, it was a #100. I was going with a 10, but the guy that put it in for me talked me into the 100. The plate that I had in before was a stock plate. I never realized how much power I was missing. He also blocked the wastegate for me, and gave it all to me for 50 bones. I could not believe what a deal I was getting. So what is the next step, have 4" exhaust, and air filter, have 97 sorry, auto. Could use a little coaching.
Thanks
Thanks

Do you have gauges? If not you need them NOW! Also I am assuming the KDP is already tabbed.
I would bump the timing next if I were you. Intake and exhaust if you need the EGT reduction, but they should be fine, I would do them after the timing.

The EGT is the main thing to watch. Boost would be nice since your wastegate is disabled.
The KDP is a dowel pin in the timing case. It can back out, and fall into the timing gears. As you can imagine that is not good. It is not a terribly common occrunce, but it is a major thing it if does happen, as it can destroy the timing case. The fix is to put a tab over it. TST makes a kit to fix it and replace the front crankshaft seal http://www.tstproducts.com/index.asp...PROD&ProdID=64

Advance the timing, and put a Governor spring kit in it. You will see another huge difference. Your transmission probably wont like ya though

I'll jump on the tranny bandwagon here. Try to resist hard acceleration with the TC locked up in 3rd gear. It's lots of fun, but.......... Been there, done that, got the $4K tranny bill. No T-shirt though.

that's funny! It's amazing, if they had thrown in a t-shirt it probably would have felt better! I know it does for me. Why is that?? Maybe we think we're getting something for free? Sorry, don't mean to steal the thread. Yeah, tranny...I know a guy who has gone through 2 of them, stock...ATS and now on 3rd ATS. He also has somewhere around 280,000 miles or something

It is in the timing gear case, it is pretty easy. Basically pull the cover, replace one bolt with a longer bolt and an oblong washer...
