Would like to borrow timing kit

Would like to borrow a timing kit. Would rather borrow one in Colorado but I will cover shipping both ways if someone would be nice enough to let me borrow it. Hope to get it done in 3 or 4 weeks along with the KDP.

Can't justify spending $220 a couple of times if that. I am saving for a clutch as the stock one doesn't like 350 hp and 800 tq very much lol

Also what should I set it at on the 215 pump. Was thinking 16-18 and I am leaning towards 17 now. Plan for bigger turbo and 370's within a year.

Thanks a lot, Kurtis

Boondock, do you want some company? I'm in the same position you are. If you get a positive response you could make it a timing party. I can contribute to the expense and 4 hands will make the work go faster.

There are very few diesel shops in Colorado for timing a CTD. Mine runs real good but re-timing might improve economy, and I don't know any place to take it.

I bought a timing kit on ebay for 75 bucks. I adjusted the timing on my wifes 98 this weekend and it took me about 2 hours. Doing it again would take 1 hour. Email me if you want to talk about using it william.leider@us.army.mil Very straight forward kit.

I put the 3000GSK and I know when i put it to the floor it sounds like it misses and it puts on some smoke, which is visible looking in the mirror. It just doesnt sound as smooth as usual at WOT. Do i need to bump the timing? If so, Id like to talk to you rideofpwrstroke.

Do you have a Goose neck hitch?

I have a timing kit and have set the timing on several trucks, I am however having trouble tuning a specific truck (very close to yours) to pull a trailer with out geting hot (egt wise). I was wanting to put the trailer behind a similar truck to see if its the trailer or my tuning?

Pm me your # and we can get together and I can show you how to time your truck or help you time it

Sorry Jason no goosenech hitch. Just a class III. Tow a 3700 and 3K boat and a snowmobiles is about all. Although if you have another trailer you can weigh down that would be fine by me.

Where are you from? Also like to knock out the KDP while I was there..... I have the TST kit.

Let me know I will PM you my # and a time to get a hold of me.

Rare1 maybe we can get something going or worked out.
