Worrisome drop in mpg

I drove 350 miles today fueled before I left fueled at destination. All freeway, and cruise control at 72mph and I left the XZT+ on the fuel saving setting the entire way. However I only got 16.6 mpg.

Last time I did something like this I got more like 18-19mpg. Had edge ez then though and summer fuel.

I know its winter fuel however I did not think id see that much of a Drop is that the culprit?

Also what is the best air pressure to run when empty for milage?

Thanks
Rob

A new IAt sensor for your truck is only $ 23k, forget cleaning, get a new one, I gained 3mpg just from that, it paid itself off at 1st tank fill, you will be impressed.

Cleaning helps a little but not as much as a new one.

Also which size tires do you have ? Is the speed and odometer correct ?

One tank of fuel is usually not a good indicator but if you see a trend, then you have to worry. Often times people don't fill to exactly the same level which throws off calculations and there are several environmental factors. Pretty much any wind will cause a large decrease in mileage as well as rain or winter fuel.

Air filters good. I maintnace the living #$%^ out of this truck because i pratcially live in it.

I payed pretty close attention to the wind and it only blue for a little bit of the drive but i could be wrong.

I filled it both times to the return spigogt.

Any way i am going to call around today and see if i can find a IAT sensor in town.

We are laughing hard......just kidding!!

I would just wait few key cycles, I did same thing (laugh at me now...) and left MAP unplugged, got CEL on but it went away after few starts. I actually have a scanner and checked codes there was nothing set.
