Wire Tap?

Well...heres the deal...Back in January, I purchased my '99 2500 CTD. It already had 80hp injectors and an edge comp, along with a bunch of other fun toys that have no impact on the engine. But I digress, My problem is with the edge comp box. A few months prior to me buying the truck, the fuel injector pump was replaced. The wire was not retapped, so that the warranty was not voided. I want to tap the wire, but the directions from edge products just confused me. I know that there is another site with a similar product with better instructions, but I forgot what it was. Can anyone tell me how to tap the wire? Thanks Y'all.

The TST website has a good set of instructions and it gives you a good, clear picture of which wire to tap. I know what you mean about the Edge instructions being a little confusing. I actually tapped the wrong wire when I installed my comp, then I noticed that it didn't really have any more power on anything above stage 2. I went on the TST website and saw their picture and realized I had the wrong wire tapped and so then I fixed it.

I tapped the wrong wire at first also. It won't hurt nothing except for your ET! If you want to tap the wire without it being very noticeable, check into the pump covers. I've never used one but one of my buddy's is using one and it seems to work good. I see your from Texas, Give Chris a call over at Relentless Diesel in Willis,TX and I'm sure he can get you hooked up.

Get a bluechip pump cover, It took me about 10 minutes to tap mine that way. 5 screws for the cover and an allen screw to tap the wire. I think they're only like $45

There are two wires coming fom the injector pump, tap the wire closest to the engine head. Use a posi-tap connector, you can get them at O'Reilys.

If you're out of warranty; why get the BlueChip cover?
