this is a fix for the broken snap ring on the output shaft of a t-case, i think this is what is causing the shaft movement, vibration, and noise im getting.
its a collar that replaces the snap ring, and prevents further damage, but says it only works up to 2000...what would be different on an 01-02 241HD T-case?

EDIT: i think i've also learned that I have an NV241DHD, not NP241DHD

And to my knowledge, there would be nothing different about the rear output of the 01 and 02 241's.
I don't think this fix will help you.....the clip stops the shaft from moving in and out......if it breaks, there will be an instant failure that will leave you dead in your tracks. If the output shaft has side to side play, the output bearing could be punched.
