Will This Make 400
I plan on adding an edge comp drag box also adding a little bigger sticks and having my hx 35 made in to a hybred would that get me close to the 400 hp range? also will that turbo handle that hp ? is that a good choice for some one that tows alot . thanks for your oppions.

I think you would be alright. There seems to be no perfect setup for 400 HP, without sacrificing spool up, egt's, etc. I am thinking of doing a hybrid too. It is cheaper, & at least you do know what it can do. It will run cooler, because it has more air flowing.I wanted an HTT, but it seems that you have to give up too much, whichever way you go with one of them, at least according to a long running thread on here right now. Good luck.

are you guys serious? with mach 6's and a smarty i was getting to hot (380 hp approx) with a sps 62/14 while towing. And thats alot more turbo than a hybrid.
IMHO, yeah its possible but not good for #6 piston (or the rest of them for that matter)

Let's also look at what you're towing. You can get by towing small stuff and not worry very much because you're not working it that hard. But as you step up to large loads, you're having to watch the pyro the whole time to make sure you don't snap the needle off.
It's also not so much about what peak horsepower your turbo will support when running the dyno, it's about how well it works when you're in your towing range. You can hop on the dyno and run a quick peak up to some HP number and it'll work fine with the stock turbo because you ran for a few seconds. Now you turn around and put the engine under load and keep it at that higher HP number and things are melting because you can't keep it cool.
I could make dyno runs with my Smarty and TST both maxed out on the stock turbo and it wouldn't run too hot that I worried. But when I hooked up a trailer and ran with the TST on 2 or 3 and the Smarty on 7, I could max the EGT gauge if I wasn't careful.

There supposed to be 150 or maybe 155 i thought it was kind of low myself but not sure? I think my stock turbo is what is killing me well besides my clutch.
