will air bags give me any lift

Well I need to get the rear of my truck lifted some. My superlift only came with add-a-leafs and it sits about 2 1/2 inches low. I would like to get full leafs but dont have the cash. I was wondering if I can get that lift with the bags or do I need to do something else. Also how will they affect the ride. Thanks for the help.

If you fabricate some spacers to add (whatever the adaleaf added)you WILL be able to get that 2 1/2 inches but the ride will be harsh with the small airbags(airride airlift so on)

on my stock suspension my air bags will rais the truck app 2 in with 25 lb air psi and that makes my truck level and has a good ride .
any more air psi and it will be harsh ride without a load .

You got the 5" lift? How much did they say the ad-a-leafs would raise the rear? They should b 3" ad a leafs to make it sit level i would think..

My BDS lift came with an add-a-leaf too, my truck sits about 1.5" low in the rear. However, my springs were the HD pack, which is almost double the thickness of the leaves included in the kit for a standard 2500. I just bought the heavy duty add-a-leaf (2.5" lift I think) from les schwab for 87 bucks this weekend. The leaves are the right size on this one, I haven't got them installed yet but this may be a fairly cheap option for ya
