I hope your kidding

You cant have a 12 valve that makes good power with NO smoke. Period. A 3rd Gen is much easier, but in order to make a 12 valve spool a big turbo it has to have some fuel down low. Mine clears up almost completely after it spools but it will lay it out thick until then, and thats stock turbo. You can limit the fuel a lot on the bottom, but the turbo wont spool as fast. You just have to drive around it.

I forgot to mention the new programmer we call the 10 gun downloader. It's good for 200 hp and costs a measly 10K. hence the name 10 gun!

To put out enough volume, those electric turbos will probably eat half of the extra horses and require an alternator the size of a PTO generator box... I've seen a cartoon of a bulky man pouring sweat, turning a generator handle to power an electric fan blowing air to cool himself down. Kind of reminds me of that.

Has the quality of Banks products ever been questioned, or is it just the gihugic price tags that he applies to his product that kills everybody?

If I can express my own opinion. BANK$ has been progressive in the Diesel adder market, especially really early on with the 1st genners with the 14cm housing that was very rare at the time also the intercoolers replacements were the only option other than OEM... But... BUT, the prices typically were Trump style for what you got. Now that the ocean is full of products and services its too easy to source out your own stuff for much less. AGain I don't need more knocks on my reputation, IMHO

FWIW , the talk of the electric assist turbos I have heard , is that they carry a 1% duty cycle , just enough to spin the turbo up... And they still take ALOT of juice.

And did gale banks also tell you it was a good idea to put nitro methane in your tank as well?

Hey don't bash the nitro, it works great, you should try it, I thought that one up all by myself. Don't do it if you plan on keeping the same truck for 500K miles though, oil report said disaster is brewing, it was bad for the rings... is that where all the chrome came from??

I seriously doubt it. I'd have to see it to believe that. An electric fan will not clear up 300hp injectors. I have 200's and I don't think a normal set of twins will help my smoke. Why don't you just put an air compressor in the bed and shoot air in that way? (Something I would never do either) And $5K???????? OMG! I'll keep my 200's and build a 35 3B twin set up for less than $1000! Whoever pays $10K for 200hp is a MORON! If this is true, it's not at all a good marketing idea! Nitromethane in the tank?? I hope you don't have any input on what Gale Banks sells

I'm a fan of the cleaner stuff. But with a VP truck, you don't have the control over the injection even to get large quantities of fuel in without smoke. HPCR trucks have a LOT more control over the event, and can be smokeless at much higher power levels.

That said, I can drive my truck pretty cleanly without too much effort. I've noticed that once I get into it enough to make smoke, that more fuel just makes more smoke-- no more power.

Hence, the smoke is just for the "james bond" factor, not necessarily a byproduct of making more power.

I'm guessing that the future addition of a TST box might make it a little smokier-- but it should be just as manageable.

Chrome readout on an oil analysis?
How about chromium... and it comes from rings, push rods and bearings!
