Why cant I remove the MAP?

Ok so why cany I remove the MAP from the head and leave it pluged in?
Install a plug in the hole and the computer wouldnt see a over boost condition, right?
Asking as I'm pulling the Comp box and with the injectors I'm running I'm sure I'll get more than 20psi.

You can buy a "boost fooler" that plugs into the map instead of disconnecting it, just FYI.

your computer would never see elevated manifold pressures, as a result it would never give the motor more fuel

it would defuel with injectors but no boost fooler because the MAP would be running over 20 psi, but it would never begin to fuel if the MAP never started to climb. the latter being the case if its laying in the engine bay still plugged in.

Thats what I was looking for.
I'm selling hte Comp BOx and going with the new attitude but there will be a time while I'm waiting for the attitude that I'll have to much fuel for the ECM and I dont want a defuel mode to show up.

If the wastegate is functional and you don't run it to hard you won't get an overboost.

I've read posts about making a home-made boost fooler with some sort of voltage regulation on the map, but am still unclear on how this is accomplished

I know on *forgive me for saying this* fords .........you can install a regulator from an aircompressor inline and set it at whatever setting you want to confuse the computer......sounds weird but it works!

I can it 30lbs just getting on freeway so taking the box off before the Attitude gets here is just not a option.

BTW, wiht the box on 3x3 I hit 45lbs on a regular basis.
