I have had quite a bit of success with that combination, I am a little disappointed in the reliability of the VP44 set up. I haven't had a pump failure even though I am pushing it way past its limit, but the glitches that come and go for no reason are what drive me nuts. I have sort of set my truck out to pasture till I decide whether it will get a P pump or a common rail swap. any way back to your questions, I did have good success with the truck it has had several sets of injectors and turbos. All run with the red line and the comp set at max, I have tried a B1 turbo, a sled puller 66, and an Aoura 5000. The sled puller was the best with the VP, I don't think it can move enough fuel for the 5000. The 5000 was also not the bolt on install it was said to be and cost over $2000, the truck actually made a little more power and much less laggy with the 66 if you are going to drive it on the street. I have had a plethora of injectors that I will not go into but for the most part you get what you pay for. The best ones I have used were F1 mach 6's and mach 8's which were for nitrous. I also have a FASS pump and a big polished intercooler which really looks cool but I don't think it helped much with power. The 2 stacked boxes with the sled puller and mach 6's would give you 575-600 reliable HP, oh I forgot that I have a fairly modified head and a helix 3 cam. If you can find somewhere to pull that will allow it nitrous is fun and easy, it is usually allowed in ford country were they cant get buy with out it. Keep up with me we might be able to get together for a pull sometime I think we are in driving distance. Good luck

JDGPULLER,

I will pm you some pulls we are having up this way in a couple of weeks, I know of one pull where they are bring in a high speed sled from up north.

Ok here is what Im runing now with my setup I'm runing my redline on 63 and my comp on 3x5 seems to be fueling the hardest for me. I have an hot rod 44 and a set of injectors from sheild. I dont have alot of pulls on this setup but I'm tryin to get more insite from other pulls with this setup. I do have a cam and springs, but still running stock head and gasket.

Thanks for your info.

stock gasket, cool. I know everyone will be all over you about that but I also did some amazing stuff on stock bolts and gasket, in fact I never did have any trouble with it the only reason we pulled the head was if failed a compression test because of cracked valve seats.

do you have any dyno #'s on your truck?

I don't know if there is something else wrong but with either of the turbos it would easily clear the smoke on the dyno or the track. to me no smoke at all indicates you could use a little more fuel.

I did allot of calling on the monster VP pumps and every time I got serious with the questions the 3 different guys I was talking to about them just quit responding to me. I would have bought one but they didn't seem to serious about selling them.

Radford is a little farther than I was thinking I wont come that far till my mess is right. Have you ever been to a pull at Morgans Corner NC, they put on a good show.

LOL yea there is only two of us up here that are still pulling on stock bolts and gaskets. Me and a guy pulling a 12 valve.

Mine never clears up on the track, im tryin to find the sweet spot, im starting to find out that more is not always better! I dont have any numbers I know im over 600hp. The bad thing is that its a sled puller and sits here at the shop most of the time. I did the same thing as you, I made many phone calls on pumps and after talking to my buddys (they all have sheilds pumps) I went and got one also. I have an hot rod VP44, after this season im movin up to an monster VP44 flows bout 50 more cc's. I have been doing alot of looking on a p pump convertion but thats sometime off. Sometime this summer I want to come down to M.C. pull. I think its bout 5hrs from here but I have been told its worth it.
