Who sells the best tranny rebuild kit
#16
I bought one a few years ago. It was not finished machined and damaged the pump seal. I called and sent it back to be fixed. I had to pay shipping both ways. They refused to talk with me about it. Then the converter clutch started to slip. The stall speed was somewhat tighter than stock, but not much.
Avoid them. You will need better products ( and service)for a Cummins.

Been very happy with my DTT. It's been bullet proof for over 100,000 miles that included occasional racing, hauling heavy and towing.

About the planetaries upgrade- DC did do the upgrade themselves since some year I don't remember. When I asked Bill Kondolay he told me that mine already has the upgraded planetaries.

I am looking at a website...transmissioncenter(PATC) that lists a kit#K48RZ that looks pretty close to what I might be looking for.Cost is around $2700 plus another $1100 for a triple disc TC.Expensive but it looks to be pretty stout and have several improvements over stock.Any opinions?

I've had lots of personal and biz experience with suncoast! I find that They have one of the all out best Rebuild kits, One of my Favorite personal valve bodys and great customer service! If You would like to know more on my experience send me a pm and we'll discuss it!
PS Power by poole has the same billet shafts that almost ALL of your major builders have and there Cheaper as we'll! ( I prefer to shop around on my tranny parts if i have to buy in peices to get a better deal so be it)
