i agree with the whole sticking to the load range required. i often carry haevy loads so it's just safer to stick with the E rated tires. not to say that D rated tires wont do the job, but for peace of mind i'll keep trying for an E even if i have to step up to a 305/70/16 which is just as tall, but a bit wider.

I found your pictures on the Truck of The Month...Congratulations by the way. If I am seeing correct, your tires are LT225/75R16 110/107Q. According the the Tire and Rim Association your tires are Load Range 'D' Max Inflation 65psi at Max Load Single 2335 lbs/ Dual 2150 lbs.

Is this what you have on your sidewalls? Any chance to get a good picture of the Max Load Note?

Thanks,

Tim

Toyo M55s are now available in a 285 E rated tire-- over 3700lb rating apiece.

Tires for an '03 Dually

Speaking of tires, what are my options? 265/70R/17 doesn't seem to come in very many possibilities. I've always loved BFGs on my SUVs, but they don't come in a high enough load range for my 3500. I'm pulling 12,000 lbs of 5th wheel trailer, so I can't really fudge on the load range. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance... Pat
