who has thrown on a boost gauge?

Did you hook it up to the 3/4" test port on the driver's side or off the turbo vacuum hose on the passenger side? Will that test port work for a proper boost reading?

The 3/4" pipe port front of the MAP sensor is the one to use - the pipe port behind is coolant......don't hook a boost gauge up to the turbo....for a true reading, you need to measure boost after the intercooler...

aaaaawwwwwwesome! Thanks CTD.

Hopefully I can find a 3/4" npt to 1/4" hose fitting and not have to use 24 different adapters.

I installed a boost bolt from Geno's Garage. I think this is probably the easiest install. I posted a pic in my gallery.

I ordered my gauges from TST and the boost gauge came with the the necessary fittings to use that port.

Home Depot or Lowes will have them.

You'll probably need a 3/4"x1/8" bushing since most boost gauge setups are 1/8". These are hard to come by, I usually just use a 3/4" brass plug from the hardware store then drill and tap a 1/8" port in it.

What about that Boost Bolt from PDR??? Seems like a logical solution..

Its a tapped and drilled bolt for the intake manifold. Pull out one of the bolts and install it.

Yup, you can do that too....I wasn't about to pay the money they want for that bolt and shipping to the other side of the country when I had the pipe adaptors sitting in a parts drawer.....

I just put my B G in and personaly like having my fittings out where they are EASY to get at . So, I simply drilled and taped the intake tube just above the aluminum ridge that is the stop for the rubber conector to the down pipe to the intercooler. The rubber conector will slide completely down onto the black pipe. Then slip a bagie over the down pipe so chips won't fall in there. Tap just foward the upright casting seam all the way on the right of the down turned intake tube. Stuf a clean rag up in the tube befor you drill for the 1/8th NPT. Out in the open, clean and easy! The aluminum is 1/4" thick there so about 80 percent of the NPT fitting is in threads.

I did the two reducer thing. Using the 3/4 inch hole. I can route the pressure tube out of the way and it won't interfer with me reaching the IAT sensor for cleaning...

Check my gallery for pics...
