Who has this setup (HO engine, MAD ECM, 1.6's etc)?
I'm looking for a truck with the following BOMB's, it has to be an 01 or 02 HO 6-spd (ETH/DEE):
That is as far as I would like to go with my mods. I currently have the exhaust and intake (need a Scotty II tho'), and soon I will have the Scotty fuel system installed. My goal is to not have to upgrade the turbo. My assumption is that if I go with the above combo, I will end up getting a new clutch (SB CON OFE).
If you have this setup:
Did your stock clutch hold or did you start out with a non-stock clutch?
Do you still have the stock turbo? Is it at its limits?
Did you do any fuel system mods?
Thanks,
~Rob
- MAD ECM (with timing)
- Don M's 1.6 sticks
- 4" Exhaust
- Air intake (BHAF, Scotty or whatever)

Only part of that I have is the SA2, but that's roughly my upgrade plan as time and funds permit, so when you get it all set up bring it up to Kansas City so I can take a ride in it.
Gotta finish the old house refurb, first, though. Just dropped almost $600 on a custom reproduction of our handrail so we can restore the staircase to how it's supposed to look. That's on top of the $1600 we already spent on custom spindles for the same thing. Ah well, it's worth it to make the old place look right.

You should be alright EGT wise with that combo. If I remember correctly, dodgediesel4x4 didn't have any EGT problems with his comp in EZ mode or turned down on 1 or 2 and mach 1.5's. I know I don't have any EGT problems with my comp on 5X5.

Similiar setup, except I have auto and HY-35. Stock turbo (disabled) egt's fine, but probably getting near it's limits powerwise now on upper end, added FASS also. It is a GREAT all around setup for daily driving and towing . Check my previous posts for more info on towing impressions, and MAD ECM. Hope this helps.
