Who has had vp44 failure w/edge comp or drag comp?

I agree with everything you said above except this statement.
IMO the Comp is responsible for many electronic failures. It may be a combination of the individual trucks electrical system and the box or just the box itself I don't know but I am 100% positive in my little pee brain that those pumps would have lived a long happy life (if you call the retarded 100k average life of a VP long?) had their wire not been stabbed for the comp. IMO you and others are absolutely correct on the issue of good fuel supply from pusher pumps/added lubricants/adequate fuel tank levels etc all aiding in keeping the pump running longer in stock trim but once you add the Comp to the mix there is more to it than the Good Pump/Bad Pump scenario. I have never personally ran the TST box but it seems like there is a lot less posts about that box taking out pumps than the Edge but I'm sure the Edge represents 10-1 in numbers? I just hate seeing posts that lead people to believe that a pusher pump will protect you from a failure with a wire tap box.
I hope someone comes up with the answer but I had to jump ship on the VP and go to P-pump with the failures I had. Good luck guys

I don't have the comp, but my edge with attitude took out my rebuilt VP44 in about 30k (thats pulling trailers on level 5,and no mercy )
I'm going to avoid tapping the pumpon the next one, this monday..,as the edge still works good, just don't get to leave the D-Maxs in the black cloud like I used to...
