who has the best fuel system?

alright i am in the market for a fuel system i was going to get the fass system with the air seperator . but i have been seeing alot of people having problems with fuel pressure on the fass system lately.my plan for my truck is to get it into the low 13s to high 12s...so tell me should i just get the fass or is the another option for me.

Scotty Smart fuel. Best bang for the buck by far. Seems to help the OEM LP last a lot longer, too.

www.scottyairsystems.com

I think it's available from the DTR online store!

can you run a pusher pump with this system? i just ordered one but haven't received it yet. a local shop said they would install a pusher pump for about 150. if you can run one which one is preferred?

I'm not aware of these problems you speak of, but systems like the FASS, or Air Dog are so overbuilt for our application its crazy (thats why I liked it ) There are many 600+ hp trucks running these systems with no fuel delivery issues. Can you get fuel delivery cheaper? Yes, but its a slick system and I could have bought a Diesel engine truck cheaper then the CTD also.

I don't know about that, Ford and Chevy are awfully proud of their trucks.

you can get a kit from Vulcan that relocates the LP to be a pusher and rids the system of the banjo's. If you're going to get a FASS, there's no point in keeping the stock fuel line, so get the Vulcan bigger fuel kit or Scotty's.

Talk to J.R. Adkins - he's got two Aeromotive systems that are top notch.

Yet one more option is the RASP. Certainly not the cheapest route to go but a good route nonetheless. http://www.dieseltrans.com/dodge/whats_new.htm
It is a mechanical pump that allows you to keep your stock pump with an auto switchover system via a hobbs switch should the rasp fail (the only real thing that can fail is the belt). Which if you have a spare can be switched out in less than 5 minutes. Have had mine for about 20k now without any issues.

The SCotty fuel setup is designed to simply alleviate the restrictions in the OEM plumbing, thus expanding the capability of the OEM pump.

Yes, you can relocate your pump and still use the Scotty fuel setup, but it's not DESIGNED to help you move your LP.

If I wanted to mess with re-engineering the Fuel system and wanted to stick with electric pumps, I'd be using a full Aeromotive Marine setup that's diesel-rated and will serve over 4000hours. Far from cheap (worse than a FASS, and no fancy filtration), but in all my research, I have yet to find an option as promising for high performance AND high durability as the Aeromotive pumps, regulators, etc.

However, if you're willing to try out a mechanical setup, the RASP is probably the best all-around system available at ANY price. It just happens to be somewhat affordable.

Again, JMO only.

I've personally seen a RASP system installed on truck that was getting twins, and it was VERY impressive. The workmanship was like a Swiss Watch-- the billet bracketry, the pump itself, the whole design.

Compared to my electric Aeromotive "dream" setup, the RASP looks like a great deal. I can't imagine a better setup.

I'm running an Aeromotive system that I built myself similar to that of JR's....with the regulator set at 15 psi and I can barely drag it down to 14psi WOT...I know I probably spent more than any of these off the shelf systems, but I'm tired of playing games with dead pumps and low pressures !!
