Where are you guys putting your #10?
The previous owner of my motor slid the stock plate full forward so I don't know where the stock position was.
So, I used the alignment plate and centered the afc screw holes in the slots. This seems to be about the same power level as the stock plate full forward. I'll probably try sliding it forward a bit tomorrow...
Where is everybody else putting their #10? Measurements?
I also adjusted the governer lever (piers website), it was touching right in the middle of the plate, now I have it down on the bottom edge. What exactly did that do for me?
Oh yeah, this is on a 180 pump.
Thanks!
Erik

Its hard to tell with mine because when we put mine back in after the 3k GSK..we just guessed at the location. Who knows it may be in the middle or forward..but its definetly not behind stock position..
The location depends on if you have the extra toys to handle the fuel. Toys like breather, exhaust, and maybe some type of hybrid turbo. The best place on your truck may not be the best place on someone elses truck. Start out in the middle and work from there..If the egts get out of hand..back it off 15-20k and try that. But if you start out in the middle and egts are low..push it forward 15-20k and see what happens.
The plate is tuneable..you can move it around until it fits your truck..

Rick is correct, there is no best place for every rig. Start out at stock or middle and move it around. Remember a little goes a long way and that full forward isn't always the best.

The only thing I can add to this is were you put the Gov arm(fuel shut off up) decideds at what RPM it fuels and begins to de-fuel but if your over the nose a little then it should be fine.

With the 10 there is alot of truth to the full forward doesnt yield all the benifits of the plate. I ran a stage 3 hybrid turbo, 16 exhaust, 3k gsk and 16* pump timing with the #10 a hair past 3/4 forward (i moved it around several times to find a happy spot forward of 3/4, I also had my gov arm starting a little further down the plate profile) and had Excellent clean (for the most part) results with controllable EGTs at 3/4000 ft elevation towing.
