Where else to tap for my running lights

Ok. I installed my big rig running lights from Recon last night on my 01'. The directions said to tap each headlights marker wire. That seems kinda cheap and alot of work if I have to replace the connection or running light. I know that harness goes somewhere. So where else can I tap it under the hood or bring wire from the inside the cab to under the hood? I need a marker light wire and each side for the blinker wires. Pics or Diagrams would be helpful.

TIA

Do you have a pic of said connector? Didn't really see when I ran outside here at work.

I tapped into the front marker light under the hood, to fire a relay to light up my new lights under my bumper and running boards, it was real ez, and all under the hood, and just alittle more power running though the switch.

Where at under the hood? I am trying to avoid having the connection based where I have to take the headlights out (I have one piece headlights).

Best way is to run a simple wiring harness with a 4 or 5 terminal relay to the running lights. On the relay, connect terminal 30 to pos. battery, 87 to your running lights, 85 to the ground, and 86 to either the fuse or the back of your headlight switch. I went with the back of the headlight switch cause I don't like tapping into fuse boxes. Here is the link:

For the blinkers you'll have to wire each running light separately. See if you can find the blinker relays and try to tap in there. I would grab a voltmeter and see if there's voltage with the blinkers off and parking lights on (there should be; but no voltage with parking lights and blinkers off) and whether the voltage fluctuates between 12v and 0v when the blinkers are turned on. Since you're tapping off a relay and the Recon kit didn't come with relays you're probably ok with just straight wiring the LEDs.

The fuse may be another option but I think there's one fuse for both blinkers, right? So I don't see how it would work.

I look in to it. The LEDs are very low current draw so I am not really worried about them overheating anything, I just dont want to tap it up by the headlight. The fuse idea should work. I'll check it after work.

So i am assume this is where a relay is supposed to go and I need a male connector to go in there?

Didn't get them wired up last night, had some major rain last night.
