I don't think we're supposed to post links. Put the Goerend in a google search & it'll come right up though.

Gotcha, anyone have a preferance on whitch one does the best for 10k or less towing? I have a fence comp. and use it for hauling material, at best 12k (load, truck not included) between the truck and trailer. '96 2500 EXT. Cab Long Bed 4x4 Air Bags Stock CTD (for now)

Usually the one a guy has installed is the best one. I think you should call them all, talk to them, see who has an installer near you, see who you feel most comfortable with. They can all build you a tranny to work well for your intended use, and power level.

While I haven't done anything to mine yet, I understand that Dave @ Goerend is a great guy to talk to & their products are top notch.

Goerend, Suncoast and DTT are all great companies. Finding an installer that is close to you would a be an excellent starting point for your decision.

Well I don't care if I have to put a tranny in this truck every month it is by far the best investment I've made thus far! It would be nice to not worry when it's going to start slippn' or shifting funny. I thought about the manual swap but why?

Many guys prefer a manual for towing/working. I personally do. That's why I drive a stick, even though an auto would be faster. And generally a clutch will be cheaper than a built auto.

If you want to check out some crazy transmissions look up ATS transmissions on Google.
