when to redo head gaskets & studs
At what point (or at what horse power) does the head gasket and studs need to be replaced to handle the hp? I am wondering because I am working on getting a B-1 since I can hit 40psi with my box on 1x2 and I don't want to blow the head gasket with the new upgrade.

Hard question to answer...depends on how well your head is doing. Have heard of new heads from the factory being far from level. Others have handled up to 55 psi boost for many miles with no problems. Probable living near the edge over 550 hp. You can either wait till you have a problem, or do it now and be done with it if you don't want to face the downtime if/when something happens. Best way to protect stock head/gasket is make sure truck is fully warmed up before playing hard!
I would seriously consider O-ring or Firering for the head at your power level, if going with a large single turbo.
Are you talking Full B-1? Anything less and you'll still have serious EGT problems with your box and injectors.
