Wheels for 315's

Just wondering what would be the best offset to run 315's with as little rub as possible. And how wide of rim. THanks

If I'm correct, a 4.5" offset is the preferred choice. Buddy of mine has a 16x10 rim with a 4.5" offset with 315/75/16's on them and he doesn't have any rubbing problems.

i would get a 16x8 instead of the 16x10. i currently have the 16x10 with a 2 inch spacer and 2 inch add-a-leaf, the wheels have the 4.5" backspacing and they rub very well at full lock. i am ordering a set of black AR-767's soon in the 16x8 with 5" backspacing. i've always heard that alot of backspacing is key to running big tires of the dodges. it was even in fourwheeler magazine a while back. they said with a 2 tp 3 inch lift you should be able to run a 35 with no rubbing issues with the right backspacing. i've heard all of this off of www.pavementsucks.com too.

It's not that 4.5" is preferred, its standard offering from 90% of the aftermarket rim companies.

I think 5.5" on our Dodges would be optimum.

6.75" stock is really tucked under, resulting in control arm rub.

4.5" aftermarket really sticks out, and rubs rear inside fender.

5.5" would be the compromise.

I'd say 10 inch rim if you could find a 5.5" backspace, they look great with the 315's.

If all you can find is 4.5", then go with a 8" rim, you'll avoid most of the rub issues.

What width?

4inch backspace on a 10 inch rim would have 6 inches of rim sticking out from the hub, and would have some serious rub on the rear inside fender.

4inch backspace on a 8 inch rim would only have 4 inches sticking out, and should be fine.

I guess I'm gonna have to find a 10" wheel with 5.5" back spacing. I want the 10" wheel. Fills the wheel wells better.

Get the 10".

Maybe they'll work just fine on your truck.

Mine don't rub daily driving, only on a hard right turn while stuffing.

I was thinking 16x8, or would the 10's be better.

With just the leveling kit, 8's would be best.

Blue wants to go tall, so the 10's should work for him.

i've had the 16x10's with 4.5" backspacing and it rubs. it is acutally chunking my tires up. i'm ordering the ar-767's in a 16x8 with 5" backspacing. i believe that will be optimum for me because it shouldn't scrub and i am also deciding to go to a 285 from a 315 because fuel is expen$ive. hopefully i can gain more mpg with a smaller tire.
