Whats worked well?

I figure I've got plenty of fuel for the time being, I was just wondering what charger & exhaust housing(s) have you all tried with similar fuel delivery and what kinda #'s it gets.

Don't want it to be so laggy that I can't drive it one the street, just wonderin whats worked well for everybody else

Any of the 62or64 12cm series turbos would be appropiate for your fueling. The 14cm housing would probably be a too laggy, if spool is a concern.

I would say yes, but you would have to follow the "Over-fueled towing manual"

I've towed with mine 64/12cm, but with far less weight.

What about something in the s300 family, as they are a little more $$$ freindly.

Also I have access to fairly cheap dt466 garrett chargers, but I don't know exactly what they are.

Hopefully a little more air will at least get me to 325-375 range

I'm running a soon to be released Super Stock SS from HTT. It is a 62mm intake, 71mm LDP exhaust wheel with a 13cm stainless steel exhaust housing. It also has an improved wastegate over the HT 71 series.

I replaced my 35/3B twins set with this turbo and so far I am very pleased. Great spool, cleans up the smoke really well too. My 12v with stock deliveries and 370's made 475 / 1004 on the dyno last weekend.

But as others said, the 62's out there make good turbo's I think.

I figured I'd get that question.

My truck has been in the mid 400's to mid 500's over the course of the years. I find more than that I don't need unless I was racing.

My twins made a best of 451/1050 in this configuration. They did make more low end boost (obvious by the TQ numbers) and made more boost (60 psi vs 52 psi). Twins are sweet and have some advantages over a single but with the new technology that has come out over the years, I wanted to do a comparison. So far at this level of power, I think the single is the better choice than the twins I was running when considering all the pro's and con's. But I still have a lot more things I want to test before I will say "better" than twins.

If you look back he said he made 451/1050 with the 35/3b and 475/1004 with the ss62.

So Dave, does that single hit harder than the twins you had?

My setup is pretty simular to yours and I'm running a 64/14. Its not too laggy to drive on the street by any means, but I've got to really put a load on it to see full boost. Like 20 lbs daily driving, 30+ playing a bit, and 40+ when laying into it. I almost want to hook to a trailer sometime so I can tell ya how that works out, but sorry no help here =\

But you said you're looking for something to support 325-375 hp when you've got fuel for 500?

opps sorry, too much coffee. gaining 24hp and losing 46 ft lbs of Tq is great in my opinion and a lot cheaper.

Didn't really know, never dynoed it, don't even have a clue what its runnin now. I hate to guess, cuz that would just suck ***** if'n ya guessed too high and have all the wind took outa ur sails.

That and you've got much better injectors than me by the conversations I've caught.

Sorry to confuse ya bout the 325 thing just whatever will do me the best, and thanks for the little ego booster
