Whats up with Scotty
Just checked out the Scotty Systems website, says they are suspending all diesel related operations and evaluating their involvment in same. Was I at the right site? scottysystems.ca

That's the right site.
My guess is that Scotty got burned or burned out. As the diesel market has grown, a lot of diesel businesses have came along.
With such rampant growth, you're bound to have some rotten apples enter the barrel as well.
We all know that there are a LOT of shady and dishonest types out there in diesel land. The business is just crazy cutthroat. Like a lot of other guys, I've toyed with turning my diesel hobby into something more, but the diesel game is saturated, imo, and there's not much room for growth.
Besides, tighter and tighter emissions legislation (both on new and older diesels) could mean that the diesel heyday is behind us, at least for smokey bombers. The clean, stock diesel will continue to grow in popularity, but expect a lot of red tape and guvmint interference as they do.
I can see Scotty getting out of this. He's just really pressed for time, between Strong Man stuff, a new darling little girl, and his entry into Canada's Next Top Model.
J/K about that last part

I've talked to Scotty a few times on the phone this last week and he is doing mostly what the website says and or the above thread says. His post in the above thread came from him so we can just go by what he says.
He's sitting on the fence evaluating what's going on in the diesel market. He doesn't know if he's staying in or not, selling, closing, anything right now.
Priorities change, He and Meg have a munchkin now,Maddy, The Strong man stuff is taking a bunch of his time. I know where he is coming from, that's for sure.
I'm sure he will stick his nose in here and say a few words. Until then, let's just wait until he gets all his cards in line and see what develops.

The Diesel market is saturated as all get out. It seems like there's thousands of little guys trying to compete with their bolt-on exhausts and intakes and re-sold computers.
However, us rotary pumped types certainly don't have a saturated market. I mean, our intakes options consist of DIY plans involving bent diamond plate and stock pots. And I think one guy sells exhaust, and there are a few places that sell springs and pins if you call first and spend half an hour on the phone and pay for shipping from Paraguay... It sure would be nice if somebody with years of experience would monopolize and corner the first gen market...
