whats the diff of a smarty and edge??

whats the diff of a smarty and edge??
i was going through some threads and it seems to me like the comps like the edge or bully dog or somthing is different from something like a smarty? is that right?

Yes, thats right. The Edge Comp is a performance module, which works inconjuction with the stock ECM that adjusts the timing and fuel adjusting. Where as the Smarty is a reprogramer that is down loaded INTO the stock ECM. Some modules and reprogramers can be "stacked", meaning they can be used together.
